Nokia Lumia 1020

While the Nokia Lumia 1020 has not been officially announced, there have been a multitude of rumours and leaks regarding the device. So far a couple of press images have been revealed. These show the new phone in three colours: white, black and yellow.

These rumours have been strengthened by Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of Windows Phone at Microsoft. He publicly posted at least two photos on his Flickr profile with metadata that reveals they were taken by a camera called the “Nokia Lumia 1020″. These reveals have made most people believe that the Nokia Lumia 1020 will be the device launched at Nokia’s event on 11th of July, 2013. The event invite reads, “Zoom. Reinvented” which is clearly consistent with the rumours stating that the new device will boast Nokia’s PureView technology.

The hardware specs that have surfaced seem to be amazing and could easily make the device the best Windows Phone on the market. The 41MP camera will be the best camera available in a smartphone. Further specs include 2GB of RAM, NFC, FM radio, flip to silence gesture, 32GB internal storage (non-expandable), and optional wireless charging.

In all likelihood, it seems that Nokia will release a new smartphone, a PureView, Windows Phone 8 device which will most probably be called Nokia Lumia 1020. Will this be all that will be announced on the 11th? We will just have to wait and see. If you have any comments about the article or would just like to express your views, our comments section is always open. Until we meet again guys!
